Foo Fighters Play First-Ever Grammy Nomination Concert

The first-ever Grammy Nominations Concert is set to take place on December 3^rd.

In this historic development, the nominees for what is arguably the most momentous music awards ceremony in the world will be announced live during the show, which will be broadcast live on CBS.

Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters, BB King…

This concert will feature Mariah Carey, the Foo Fighters, BB King, Celine Dion and John Mayer, among others. LL Cool J and Taylor Swift will serve as hosts.

The show will take place at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles. The evening is also meant to celebrate the grand opening of the Grammy Museum, which will be housed in the downtown LA entertainment complex where the Nokia Theatre, Club Nokia and the Staples Center are also located. The Staples Center is where the Grammy Awards ceremony is annually held.

Proceeds go to the museum

Proceeds from ticket sales (they’re available now at Ticketmaster) will go to support the Grammy Museum.

The actual awards ceremony-the 51^st Annual Grammy Awards-will take place on February 8 of 2009, in its usual home at the Nokia Theater.
