Oasis Guitarist Saves Bond Girl’s Dog From Kidnapping
Noel Gallagher, Oasis guitarist… and hero.
Thats what they call him these days, after he saved his neighbor’s dog from certain kidnapping and untold other evils.
Outside the supermarket
It all went down outside a supermarket. A group of thieves were trying to grab up an unfortunate black Labrador belonging to Caroline Munro, former Bond girl, who lives near Gallagher. The dog was tied up while Munro did a bit of shopping.
Well, a bunch of kidnappers are no more an obstacle to Noel Gallagher than a bunch of screaming Oasis fans, or a platinum sales benchmark.
“Noel was so brave”
“Noel was so brave - the men could have been carrying knives but he just didn’t care,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror. “He’s a tough guy and he doesn’t like people taking what isn’t theirs so he tackled them and they quickly fled.
“The dog is the cutest little thing and wears a red neckerchief. Caroline takes him everywhere– even to the pub– so she was ever so grateful for what Noel did. She would have been devastated to lose him.”
Caroline, or Naomi, the sexy pilot
Munro, the fortunate maiden and beneficiary of Noel’s bravery, played Naomi the sexy pilot in The Spy Who Loved Me, 007 flick of 1977. (Perhaps better known, these days, is an Austin Powers movie satirically titled The Spy Who Shagged Me.) She thanked 41-year-old Noel effusively as soon as she was reunited with the pup.
Oasis, known for the emotive and slightly nasal tone of the lead singer, and such smash hits as 1995’s “Wonderwall” and “Stop Crying Your Heart Out.”
