Mel B: Scary Spice Turned Stripper Hits Las Vegas
Another girl about to bring Spice to Las Vegas… as if Las Vegas needed any.
Mel B, formerly known as Scary Spice, will be playing the lead in a Vegas burlesque strip show by the name of “Peepshow.” Her character’s name is Peep Diva. Seems about right.
“This part is great for me”
Mel is married to Stephen Belafonte, film producer. She told People magazine that “This part is great for me. As a Spice Girl I would bring guys on the stage and whip them, so I think I’ve always been slightly naughty.”
Ahem.
Another source told People: “Mel can’t wait. She won’t go topless, but she will be showing a considerable amount of flesh in a range of sexy stage outfits. I’m sure Mel’s husband is hoping she will bring some of them home.”
Also featuring Kelly Monaco
Peepshow will also feature TV star Kelly Monaco, who plays Bo Peep. Monaco’s Bo Peep gets led by Mel’s Peep Diva out of her timid, shy self to become a self-assured, (obviously) sensual woman.
33-year-old Mel also told People: “This is an original show. The Peep Diva is a diva, but it’s all about empowering Kelly’s part.”
Planet Hollywood
Peepshow will open in April of 2009 in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Both of the show’s stars have been on Dancing With the Stars already. “We have gathered 20 of the sexiest dancers from film, video, and Broadway to bring a truly American form of entertainment back to the strip,” said Peepshow creator and choreographer Jerry Mitchell.
Ah, America.

“The art of the tease, mixed with humour, razzle-dazzle, and today’s sexy music, with Peepshow these stunning dancers will use their bodies to tell a story,” he continued.
