Jennifer Hudson’s Mom Shot To Death– Who Do You Think Did It?
Jennifer Hudson's mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were found shot to death in Donerson's Chicago home yesterday afternoon. A 7-year-old boy also went missing.

Angela Russell, Donerson’s next door neighbor on Yale Avenue in South Side Chicago neighborhood Englewood, told E!Online that she thinks Hudson’s sister Julia was having domestic troubles with a husband whom she was trying to divorce.
Police have just arrested a man in connection with the killings. The as-yet unidentified suspect is on probation after serving seven years in prison for attempted murder and vehicular theft, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“An ongoing investigation”
The police responded to a call from Russell yesterday (she’d heard shots) and found a female victim, shot in the head, and a male, shot in the torso. Although the police have not confirmed the victims’ identities on an official level, Hudson’s rep has issued a statement.
“We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother, Jason Hudson. No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
Police spokeswoman Monique Bond did confirm that the deaths appeared to be the result of domestic abuse-no signs of forced entry-but did not elaborate.
“It has been pretty rough for a while”
“It has been pretty rough for a while,” said Russell. “We do know that Ms. Hudson’s oldest daughter was having trouble with her husband. We do know that there were some domestic issues going on and we believe that is what this all about. ”
She said that Donerson babysat her daughter Julia’s now-missing son, Julian King, daily. ”She babysat for him everyday when her daughter was at work,” says Russell. “[Julia] was here daily.”
“[Darnell] has lived here for about 15 years,” Russell told E! “She has a big house and knows everyone in the neighborhood and nothing like this has ever happened on this block. We have gotten pretty comfortable here. Considering the neighborhood, this is a pretty decent block.”

Jennifer Hudson herself lived there for years and only moved out recently. “Jennifer moved out, but her mom chose to stay here,” Russell said. “Jennifer would always come and visit when she was in town. She wasn’t a stranger to us. ”
And Donerson was no stranger to the neighborhood, she added.
“Even though her daughter was a superstar she never let it get to her,” she said. “She was still very friendly with everyone in the neighborhood. The neighborhood kids used to visit her often just to help her out around the house. A lot of the kids used to go over there just to play with Jennifer, Julia and Jason-that is something that they still do on a regular basis. It wasn’t unusual for the kids to go over and play with the baby everyday.”
Amber Alert issued
The Chicago Tribune reports that police are on the lookout for 1994 Chevrolet Suburban registered to Jason Hudson, license place No. X584859. An Amber Alert has been issued, as they believe the missing boy could be inside.
Jennifer Hudson, who was in Florida when news hit, and preparing to fly to Japan to promote her new movie, The Secret Life of Bees, headed to Chicago last night and has likely arrived.
What do you think? Did the husband do it? Julia’s husband-did he come to get the boy, shoot the two who were watching him, and make off in Jason’s car? Or was it some vandal? And police haven’t confirmed that Jason is the other victim… what if…?

it could have been a simple home invasion gone wrong. everyone assumes it was someone linked to the family, but maybe it was just random and as simple as that. I guess we will see soon as everything becomes public with the story.
